Culture Lives Here | Thompson Hotels
-
The problem
Hyatt Thompson Hotels wanted to redefine hospitality—not just as a place to stay, but as a cultural hub where tastemakers, artists, and creatives come together to connect, recharge, and make an impact. The challenge was to build a digital-first identity that amplifies these voices and positions Thompson as more than a hotel—a platform for culture.

The insight
Culture is not static—it’s dynamic, constantly evolving, and deeply rooted in the communities that shape it. Thompson Hotels wanted to capture that energy by showcasing authentic voices that represent the heartbeat of each city they call home.

The solution
Our lead strategist helped design and execute the Culture Lives Here campaign—a city-by-city activation that spotlighted eight Culture Shifters across NYC, LA, TX, and ATL. Each activation transformed Thompson properties into immersive experiences that highlighted how culture moves, shifts, and thrives within their walls. The campaign blended local storytelling, curated events, and digital touchpoints to elevate Thompson as a true cultural connector.
The ResultS
The Culture Lives Here campaign spotlighted eight Culture Shifters — artists, tastemakers, and creatives including Cam Kirk, Tunde Oyeneyin, Devin Allen, Josef Adamu, Adrian Quesada, Loreal Sarkisian, Maudie Sarkisian, and Joshua Steen — across four major U.S. metros (NYC, LA, TX, and ATL), with the campaign identity deployed across 18 Thompson properties globally.
The work was anchored by a dedicated microsite built as part of a 360° digital-first experience, supported by a custom design system that flexed across cities, artists, mediums, and events. The campaign positioned Thompson Hotels as more than a place to stay — a cultural connector for the communities its properties call home.
